International Seminar on the Provincial Institute of Metrology Supporting the OIML-CS Certificate Mutual Recognition System
From July 15th to 17th, the "International Seminar on OIML Certificate Mutual Recognition System" jointly organized by the International Organization for Legal Metrology (OIML), Asia Pacific Forum for Legal Metrology (APLMF) and the State Administration for Market Regulation was held in Hangzhou. With the theme of "Promoting the Global Coordination of Measuring Instruments", the seminar brought together more than 100 representatives from 26 countries and economies to discuss the development of the international mutual recognition system for measurement. China not only a major producer of measuring instruments but also a major exporter of measuring instruments. The establishment and implementation of a mutual recognition system for measurement has always been a high priority for the Chinese government.
The person in charge of the conference organizer stated that preparations for the seminar began in March. The participants covered administrative departments, certification agencies, laboratories at all levels, manufacturers, users and technical committees, covering a wide range of countries and economies. How to provide enough meeting support personnel with both sufficient English ability and professional quality is the difficulty of the meeting. Upon learning of the situation, the Provincial Institute of Metrology immediately sent a doctor Ma Binghui, three returned masters Shen Yijiu, Wen Tian, and Yao Zewei as support for the meeting to provide guidance and translation for foreign delegates ensuring the smooth convening of the meeting.
The leaders of the Provincial Institute of Metrology attached great importance to this seminar and sent fifteen technical representatives to participate in the seminar while fully ensuring the smooth convening of the meeting. During the period, Shen Yijiu, on behalf of the Chinese discussion group, made a concluding speech at the meeting on the benefits of OIML-CS to the country's legal measurement management system, the ways and methods to promote the system, and the improvement status and suggestions. Other delegates from the Provincial Institute of Metrology actively participated in the discussion of various topics, fully communicated with counterparts from other countries, and established a deep friendship with each other.
